I recently had the pleasure of meeting Ugo Bagration @ugo.sothebys.marbella, Regional Director for Sotheby’s International Realty, who leads the development of VIVA Sotheby’s International Realty in Andalusia.

We met at the iconic Marbella Club, a place steeped in rich history. One of my favorite spots in the city. Founded in the 1950s by Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe, this exclusive resort helped transform Marbella into the glamorous, cosmopolitan destination it is today, blending Andalusian charm with world-class elegance.

"The Woman in Me"

I borrow audiobooks from the public library. 📚

This means waiting sometimes weeks for my selected title. However, I love that it pushes me to explore books I might not have picked myself as I often select the “available now” options. 💡

I stumbled upon *The Woman in Me* by Britney Spears, a book I hadn’t planned on reading but am so glad I did. It offered me a glimpse into the life of an artist I’ve admired for years—talented, resilient, and human. 🥰

While the book shares her side of the story, I realized how easy it is to judge without understanding someone’s journey. We all know her story through the lens of the media, but this book reminded me that no one truly walks in someone else’s shoes. 🤍

Britney’s story serves as a powerful reminder to withhold judgment and show compassion instead.

Pandemic Blessings

The pandemic was truly odd but it brought people into my life that I would have never met otherwise.

Curiosity led me to this book…

Curiosity led me to this book… and I loved it.

@michelleobama , with her detailed account of her family experience, before and during two presidential periods, gave me what felt like a very intimate narrative of her experience.

Many stories are now part of recent history that we all lived so it was fascinating to see her take while it was happening in real time.

I learned a lot. I learned about the White House and its operations which was fascinating. I learned about traditions and history. I learned about politics. I learned about the Obamas and other prominent figures. More importantly, I learned from her point of view and experience.

The Midnight Library

I received this book as a gift from one of my daughters.

I had never heard of it and what an amazing read this was. I highly recommend it. The Midnight Library by @mattzhaig is a true delight.

In a magical way, you are transported to think and reflect about your own life. To maybe understand your own journey a little better and to see life with curiosity, gratitude and maybe more understanding and acceptance.

It also emphasized the powerful impact of your choices and in a fun and engaging way makes you travel through Nora’s (main character) life choices.
